What does a typical day look like for you in your position?
A typical day for me is to answer client emails, check work orders, meet client(s) for estimates, design landscapes in AutoCad and estimate projects.
What is your favorite thing about your current position?
My favorite thing is planning long term projects for Deferred Maintenance money all around the campus. I choose areas of campus that need a specific type of update and plan at least a year ahead to complete the projects.
How does what you learned at Texas A&M help you in your current role?
The professionalism and presentation skills I learned while at A&M have been extremely.
Why did you choose Texas A&M?
I attended Camp ARCH in high school and decided to join the Landscape Architecture program with a master’s in Urban Planning.
What is your best piece of advice for incoming or current MUP students who want to work in the area of planning that you do?
My best advice is to use the knowledge and skills you know from creating large scale plans with smaller (human scale) projects. A lot of the time, the artistry of planning can be found in the details.
