The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum is a popular destination amongst students and visitors alike. Learn about our 41st president, his public service and family from the museum’s incredible exhibits and explore the beautiful Barbara Bush rose garden and presidential pond. Special exhibits keep locals visiting the museum several times a year.

Northgate Entertainment District is home to College Station’s vibrant nightlife scene. Whether looking to dance the night away or enjoy a relaxing evening with friends, “Northgate,” as it’s affectionately called by the student body, can deliver.

Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater is College Station’s most popular destination for outdoor performances. Its lineup of concerts, plays and festivals attract students, visitors and locals alike. Concert or no, its surrounding park makes it the perfect spot to hang out.

Downtown Bryan

Downtown Bryan’s rich and historic atmosphere makes it one of the area’s most unique destinations. Explore all the shops, restaurants, cafés and galleries downtown has to offer throughout the year, but be sure to visit on the first Friday of every month. First Friday, Downtown Bryan’s signature event, brings musicians, displays and merchants to the district, making the area the place to be.

Regulated by Texas Parks & Wildlife, Lake Bryan is the perfect place for a daytime get-away or an overnight camping experience. The lake’s the best place in town for water activities, including swimming, fishing, kayaking, and more.

Out of Town

San Antonio

Located less than 180 miles southwest of College Station, San Antonio is home to the Alamo, the Riverwalk, and amusement parks. With a backdrop of rich culture and history, San Antonio is one of the state’s most walkable and compelling destinations.

The capital city is less than 110 miles west of College Station and noted for its vibrant entertainment, downtown and nature scene. Home to some of Texas’ biggest festivals, including Austin City Limits and South by Southwest, Austin also offers beautiful lakes and parks, including Zilker Park, Barton Springs and Lake Austin.

Dallas-Fort Worth is less than 190 miles north of College Station and is North Texas’ bustling economic district. The twin cities are home to the Fort Worth Stockyards and Historic District, a variety of museums and attractions, and the state’s biggest shopping scene.
