This page provides links to the products generated as part of The Rio Grande Valley Hurricane Evacuation Study funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE). As part of this study researchers at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) and the Texas A&M Hazard Reduction and Recovery Center (HRRC) worked with local emergency management and other officials along with other local stakeholders to reevaluate and develop new hurricane evacuation zones and conduct transportation analyses to facilitate their evacuation planning activities. Additionally, to support current and future evacuation, emergency management, hazard mitigation, and recovery planning activities, vulnerability analyses were undertaken and an online web-based GIS planning Atlas for the area was created.
