Nathanael Rosenheim

Nathanael Rosenheim is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M University (TAMU). At TAMU, he also serves as the Director of Research for the Hazard Reduction and Recovery Center. Dr. Rosenheim graduated from the Urban and Regional Science Ph.D. program at TAMU in 2015. At TAMU, he teaches graduate planning methods courses, with a focus on data science and reproducible research. His research focuses on planning methods that connect economic and demographic data with community resilience planning. Recent projects include a study of access to food retailers and food aid agencies in Southeast Texas and Harris County after Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Dr. Rosenheim’s work is primarily funded through interdisciplinary grants (totaling over 43 million dollars, with over 4 million dollars for TAMU) from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Dr. Rosenheim’s interests include food systems planning, data analytics, community resilience planning, and complex systems theory.
