Scholarly Interests

Dr. Dixit’s research interests include life cycle energy and environmental modeling, green building materials, embodied energy modeling, zero-energy buildings, building information modeling (BIM), and facility performance assessment. He is also interested in developing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for BIM authoring tools. His research has been recognized globally through two best paper awards in international conferences and an increasing number of citations of his research papers. Dr. Dixit currently represents the United States as a National Participant in Annex 57 of the International Energy Agency (IEA). Annex 57 is an international research project focusing on the evaluation of embodied energy & carbon dioxide emissions for building construction.
