Andrew J. Billingsley

Andrew J. Billingsley is a preservation technologist and Assistant Lecturer with over a decade of experience in the preservation, non-destructive evaluation, and documentation of historic sites and structures in the United States and abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Chico in Concrete Industry Management, with a Minor in Business Administration, and a M.S. in Architecture at Texas A&M University, with a graduate certificate in Historic Preservation. Andrew is an active member of the Association for Preservation Technology International who is currently serving as the Texas Chapters President and Webmaster, the Construction History Society of America, the Archaeological Institute of America, the Vernacular Architecture Forum. He has also formally held a position on the Board of Directors for the Concrete Preservation Institute, where he was an Instructor and Project Manager for their field school on Alcatraz Island in San Francisco, California.

Andrew J. Billingsley’s research and education interests are in the preservation, non-destructive evaluation, documentation, and digitization of historic and cultural sites, structures, and resources; and the implementation of creative and innovative design thinking methods, with a spirit of entrepreneurship, in an effort to improve the natural, built, and virtual environments.
