Mattia J. Flabiano

Biography

Mattia has a “never say no” attitude and when he commits his time and energy, whether to his firm, the profession, his community or an organization, it is done with passion, understanding and intelligence and in most cases, he is asked to lead. Architecture teaches us to be problem solvers, Mattia has used that skill to the highest level, not only within the profession but with every organization he has been involved with.

A native Texan, Mattia joined Page directly after graduating from Texas A&M University in 1980 and quickly became a team leader, an office leader and then a firm-wide leader. In 1992, he became the youngest Partner in Page’s 124- year history. Today, Mattia is the President and has seen Page grow into a global, multi-market and multidisciplinary architecture and engineering design firm.

He personally plays a significant role in the revitalization of the downtown business district and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Downtown Dallas Inc, the 250+ business member organization and leading advocate for downtown Dallas as the first choice for re-locating businesses.

Mattia has dedicated countless hours to the AIA, both at the local and national levels, serving as the Chair of the ArchiPAC Steering Committee and is currently President of the AIA Dallas Chapter’s Architecture and Design Foundation.

As Page’s representative on the AIA Large Firm Roundtable (LFRT), he Chairs the LFRT’s Advocacy Sub-Committee whose primary purpose is to connect CEOs with Congressional members who can advocate for key issues facing architects across the country. As a member of the JE+DI sub-committee, he is working to ensure the LFRT meets the challenge to double the number of registered black architects by 2030. Mattia firmly believes in equal access to education and the importance of strengthening the pipeline of diverse students.
