Undergraduate Diversity Certificate
The Diversity Certificate allows students to dive into common issues that they may encounter in the workplace. You are able to complement your studies with this certificate to gain career competencies for today’s job market.
Some issues covered in our program include:
- Race
- Ethnicity
- Gender
- Disability
- Socioeconomic status
The Diversity Certificate is offered through a collaborative partnership between the School of Architecture and the Department of Multicultural Services. This certificate is open to undergraduate students in several colleges and schools, including the School of Architecture.
Program Requirements
The Diversity Certificate requires students to integrate coursework with service opportunities and co-curricular activities for hands-on learning experience. Our program includes:
- Orientation
- Co-curricular component
- Service learning component
- Capstone retreat
- 12 hours of prescribed electives

“It was a personal goal of mine. I’ve always been passionate about bigger causes like disabilities and speaking through my art about racism. I think completing the certificate has given me another perspective on how to look at things. It was definitely a good thing to be a part of.”
