The distinctive sounds of Aggie yells will be led next year by construction science<\/a> major Zac Cross, the 2022-2023 head yell leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m a proud first-generation Aggie who was initially only coming to Texas A&M to fulfill my Marine Corps scholarship,\u201d said Cross, who is from Pearland, Texas. \u201cI was captivated by the sense of family that all Aggies share, no matter their background or history.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cross, who previously served as a junior yell leader, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role. He is a member of the Corps of Cadets\u2019 Company H-1, a Marine Corps midshipman, and a member of the Old Army Gentlemen\u2019s Society. He is also a recent recipient of the World War ll Order of Merit Award with the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
